INDIA'S PM MODI AND HIS KOREAN COUNTERPART INAUGRATES THE BIGGEST MOBILE MANUFACTURING PLANT

Mr.Modi and the S.Korean PM jointly inaugurated samsung's mobile manufacturing plant in Noida - said to be world's largest.

About the plant

This plant has been set up in the sector - 81, Noida (UP)  with an investment of Rs 4,915 Crore with the aim of making India a large export hub. All Samsung mobiles phone including the flagship phones S9, S9+ AND Galaxy 8 are made at this plant. Currently, India is considered the fastest growing smartphone market and last year overtook the USA and became the second after China.

What Modi said?

Modi - the Indian PM said that this step will create more employment opportunities for the Indian youth , he also praised Samsung and added that Samsung has played a crucial role in employment generation for the people in India and will be continuing doing this in future as this plant will be giving job opportunities to 1000 more people across the country.

India has become one of the largest markets for smartphone companies like Samsung, MI and many more furthermore India's smartphone market grew 14 percent  with shipments of 124 million units in the last year and the demand for smartphones escalated in India as the Billionaire Mukesh Ambani offered free calling services and cheapest data plans in the year 2015.

Samsung India has moved to its new Corporate Headquarters at Two Horizon Center, Gurgaon, Haryana. The office spread over 5 floors with a carpet area of 232,000 sq ft. is now home to 1,500 employees.
